This year's event follows the highly successful Bird Week in 2014

Highlights will include:
  • Premiere Showing of Nora Peters' presentation 'From Eaglet to Eagle-A wedge tailed eagle is born in Melton-from nest to flight'
  • Bird walks at various sites around Melton (all child friendly)Presentation by Dr Bronwyn Isaac (Deakin University) 'From Harry Potter to Melton' with Victorian Museum specimens  of owls and other birds, and animals on display that can be touched
  • Spotlight Walk at Melton Valley Golf Course: 'Creatures of the Night'
  • Presentation and bird talk at Melton Botanic Garden by Geraldine Kelly (Werribee Wagtails) 'Creating a garden for Birds' followed by a guided walk around the Melton Botanic Garden
  • Bird talk at Eynesbury Discovery Centre by Chris Lunardi (Eynesbury resident and Mt Rothwell guide) followed by a walk for beginners (we hope to see Australia's rarest waterbird the Freckled Duck!)
  • Gould Leagure certificates & bird badges for kids
  • Light refreshment
